Germany
I lived in Berlin for a couple of years when
the wall (Iron Curtain) was still up. What a place to live!
Berlin was alive 24/7. I can still feel the buzz of the city
today. I loved the people, I enjoyed their beer (lager) and
the nightlife was serious! ... I really miss a Brockwurst
in Charlottenburg at seven in the morning after dancing the
night away ;-) Once back in the UK, clubs closed too early
and we had to settle for fish & chips if we could find
anywhere open...
Sorry, this is a luxury holiday website isn't
it... Enough of my reminiscence! Germany is a wealthy country
and it accommodates wealth very well. Special luxuries one
can expect in Germany are... Well, umm... (Scratch my head,
deep in thought here)... They make great luxury cars and they
like beer festivals and wear short leather pants etc... I'll
keep thinking of a special luxury I can pin on Germany's door...
Any suggestions? I keep coming back to luxury cars... Well,
Germany cannot claim great cousine or great wine... Germany
cannot claim to evoke thoughts of romance... But Germany does
produce beautiful people and Germany does boast some incredible
landscapes and countryside... Why would I like to return to
Berlin? Well, just to reminisce, I guess...
